So I had the old Cougar repainted about 2 years ago. Came back looking awesome. 3 months afterward, when the sun was high in the sky for the first time and the paint finally saw some real heat, she bubbled up in a few spots. Moisture under the paint..... Last week she FINALLY went back for proper repair of the problem.
Should be getting paint today....Blend in tomorrow and then a good detailing after. Hopefully the snow predicted here won't materialize as I really haven't driven this car much since the issue popped up and am itching to do so.
Here's how she looked when I got her back last time.....

Yup. Trick Flow heads and intake, Ed Curtis camshaft, upgraded fuel system, 70 mm throttle body, built AOD transmission, full locker with 3.45's out back. Bilstein shocks/struts with new springs, CHE control arms..... you get the picture.... ;)

Saw "old cougar" in the opening text, and thought of this.

Saw "old Cougar" in the beginning of your post, and thought of this.
Your cougar is not old. Sigh, guess I am getting old.

Well that's my point. I see that car and think "Oh that was only a few years ago..." Then I realize it was not. I realize it was 20-something years ago. I don't like saying "I remember when I did this...20 years ago...30 years ago.."

Oh, you don't have to tell me. First time I drove an '87 Cougar they were a scant 5 years old. I've had this one over 16 years now. She's stayin'.
